A first in Québec
The gouvernement du Québec has begun developing a strategic environmental assessment (SEA) (Format PDF, 821 Ko) program aimed at providing a framework for future offshore oil and gas exploration and development. This is a new approach to developing Québec's natural resources, which will allow the government to ensure responsible development of the seabed oil and gas reserves.
